Woman’s Waiting Sound
By Kamaria Muntu

Bringing chipped blue glass
from the inner banks
of a curved hip of bliss
listless and pacing
gradually undoing my tight
gnawing your shirt
smelling your evil
a pained gasp, a fitted laugh
an able bell, a Brazilian flute

at sunrise

surmise there is a woman waiting
reliving bonfires of tropic coupling fables
in lieu of house plants a pedantic explanation/
she wants it…

…she’s waiting
